Title: Jeepers Creepers

Rating: R
Running Time: 90 minutes
Starring: Gina Philips, Justin Long, Jonathan Breck
Overview: Brother and sister are on their way home from campus life when things go horribly awry.
Date Watched: Saturday, March 3rd, 2002
My Opinion: I figured this was just going to be some regular old 'oh-no-I'm-so-scared' piece of shit movie, but this was actually good... (I heard this interesting little tid-bit for those of you who have seen it... the license plate: is it saying "beating you" or "be eating you"? Mm-hmm!) Gina was pretty good and so was Jonathan as the creepy killer dude. This movie got some pretty good screams out of me. The only thing really bad about it is that they're making a sequel. Oh, come on! Once is enough.

Title: Joy Ride
Year Released: 2001
Rating: R
Running Time: 96 minutes
Starring: Paul Walker, Steve Zahn, Leelee Sobieski
Overview: Two brothers travel cross-county to pick up a friend and return home, but a "harmless prank" turns into a real highway of horror.
Date Watched: Sunday, March 31st, 2002
My Opinion: Great scary movie! I've sure you've seen a couple of those 'semi-truck-horror' genres like the incredibly dull "Duel," but this revamp is great. First off, the king of the creepy voices (Ted Levine) is the trucker's voice. The movie also gets mandatory stars for Leelee, my twin, and Zahn, who won my heart in "That Thing You Do." (I love that movie!) This Walker kid is great too. Watch him, he's going places. The ending was fabulous... I'm actually going to rent the DVD to see the alternate endings because, damn... The set-ups were good and Levine kept the creepiness coming. Great stuff.

Title: Jurassic Park III
Year Released: 2001
Rating: PG-13
Running Time: 93 minutes
Starring: Sam Neill, William H. Macy, Alessandro Nivola, Tea Leoni
Overview: Yet another sequel where some people get stuck on an island with lots of hungry dinosaurs and spend countless days running away from them.
Date Watched: Saturday, December 22nd, 2001
My Opinion: Yes, there's another one. How dumb are these people? Stop going on the island... you only get eaten! Argh! Anyway... Yes, it's the third installment of the dinosaur horror story. Even the return of the wonderful Mr. Neill can save this piece of crap. And Alessandro Nivola... damn! I did not even recognize him. He played Pollox Troy in "Face/Off" and he looks TOTALLY different. Nice! But, anyway, this is the same stuff... minor characters get eaten, main ones escape, lots of big dinosaurs trying to eat people, screaming, blah blah blah. Go rent the first one if you want to see a good Jurassic Park.
